I have been in the powder coating industry since 1980. I was born in the 1950s (and, yes, to answer my daughter’s question, there were actually people around that far back). When I started in the powder business, I learned that the best way to move forward was to watch what the experienced people in the industry were doing.

Happy New Year! Are you a person who makes resolutions? While some of us pledge not to make resolutions, I’ve read that roughly 45 percent of the population does. I have also read that by January 10, most have abandoned those resolutions. I am not telling you anything you don’t already know when I say that the industry that capitalizes most on New Year’s resolutions is the weight loss industry. Diet pills, exercise programs, gym memberships—all of these see a rise as the New Year rolls in.
