Production Plus/Magic Rack Hires John Schott

Jeremy Davitz, president of Production Plus Corp., announces the hiring of John Schott as the company’s first-ever VP of business development. “We’re in a growth mode. John brings 30-plus years of strategic business development experience from Main Street all the way to the international arena to our company.  We’re excited to take advantage of his passion and energy to help further develop the full potential of Production Plus Corp. in the U.S. and globally.” 

Although new to the Coatings and Finishing supplies industry, Schott’s business experience ranges from mid-level management in B2B consultative sales for a Fortune 200 company in California to owning and operating a small business in rural Kansas to helping companies of all sizes export their products. Fun facts about John are that he was born and grew up in the Philippines and played with the younger brother of the current president of that country.

“My first objective is to build out my sales force and distributor channels across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.  We’ve got great, innovative products that every coater and finisher needs. We’ve got great people with incredible design capabilities, but we’ve not yet begun to touch the potential of the marketplace. I’m focused on adding to my team and making new, strategic alliances,” says Schott.
