Membership Memo: Benefits That Come With Friends
Posted on Monday, July 24, 2017
That’s right. PCI has many benefits and you make
many friends and acquaintances along the way. The
benefits include continued education, the latest trends
in the powder coating industry, information on the
new coatings, and discounts on the training seminars
and magazine advertising.
As an employee of a company with the
responsibility of business development and who is
involved in finishing, powder collection and curing,
(which includes a wide distribution network with a
vast working knowledge of our industry), I find my
PCI membership to be important. It is important
to be on the front end of the learning curve. The
methods of applying powder and everything involved
in a system design are immediately utilized for your
customers’ benefit the very next day. In short, there is
a plethora of resources at your disposal.
Another benefit is this magazine. Powder Coated
Tough provides pertinent articles as well as valuable
advertising for equipment suppliers, custom coaters
and powder manufacturers—all of whom we get to
meet at the various networking events and come to
know over the years.
To achieve these benefits, it is important to
participate in the meetings, events and training
classes to get the most out of your membership. To
those who aren’t already a member, I urge you to
investigate the benefits of membership. To my fellow
members, I urge you to participate in the committees,
subcommittee meetings and everything else that PCI
has to offer as much as possible.
To all PCI members, I urge you to spread the
word and invite others to look at the Powder Coating
Institute for the benefits it can provide. We in the
industry know the association well; however, there
might be some OEMs and others who are not yet
familiar. Spread the word; invite your customers
to go to www.powderocating.org and tell them to
subscribe to Powder Coated Tough. They will enjoy
the information and make new friends and business
connections along the way. With PCI, you’ve got a
friend!
