Barn Light Electric’s Lead Powder Coater Abby Hull Enjoys Being Creative

As reported on SpaceCoastDaily.com, Abby Hull enjoys being part of company that plays an important role in her community in Titusville, Fla. As the lead powder coater for Barn Light Electric in Titusville, Fla., Hull recalls just a few years ago when she had no job to return to after the Labor Day weekend holiday. Jobs were hard to come by in her small hometown that saw 8,000 jobs cut when the Space Shuttle program ended in 2011. But Hull learned how to powder coat from a friend, and so she had some experience. When Hull heard that the new lighting manufacturer in town was hiring, she decided to stop by.
“The lady at the desk told me the only open position was in powder coating,” Hull recalls. “I told her that was great because I had seven years of experience doing just that.” The receptionist said, “Don’t move,” and the rest, as they say, is history. Hull is a vital part of the growing workforce at Barn Light Electric which continues to prosper in its ninth year of business.
