Investing in Myself, My Business

I believe that trade and professional associations can be
very beneficial for both businesses and individuals. I
consider participation in the Powder Coating Institute
(PCI) to be an investment in my personal development
and business.
I could outline dozens of benefits I have received
from my involvement with PCI, but I would like to
focus on the top three for now.
Education: The Powder Coating Institute offers a
variety of educational opportunities, including webinars,
educational hands-on workshops, and technical training
sessions. When I was first introduced to the powder
industry 10 years ago, I attended the Powder Coating
101 and 202 workshops. Through my participation
in these workshops I was able to gain the knowledge
necessary to be successful in my job.
Networking: Outside the classroom, there are many
opportunities through PCI to network with people from
every facet of the industry. By taking advantage of the
many networking opportunities offered, I have been
able to develop a community of support which has been
helpful in finding effective solutions when faced with a
new challenge. Even more rewarding than the assistance
I have received during challenging times has been the
opportunity to serve fellow members of the powder
coating community when they were faced with a new
challenge.
Advocacy: One of the most overlooked benefits
of membership in the Powder Coating Institute is
advocacy. When you become a member you join an
organization dedicated to protecting and promoting
the needs of the powder coating industry. Having a
dedicated organization to advocate on your behalf is
powerful.
I strongly encourage anyone contemplating
membership in PCI to begin reaping the many benefits
membership has to offer by signing up today.
