In Memoriam: Gema's Ken Carroll

Posted on Wednesday, July 6, 2016

Indianapolis-based Gema USA Inc. has announced the passing of Ken Carroll, Southeast regional manager for the company. In a press release issued today, it is reported that Ken died peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

"Ken was a part of the Gema family for 16 years and during that time his contributions were many," the press release states. "As a passionate member of the Gema sales team, Ken was the Gema USA Sales Champion multiple times. His success was earned by utilizing his personal strengths and knowledge of our products and industry. More importantly, Ken diligently strived to connect people and companies to Gema; and in the process he established strong relationships and friendships.  For those that knew him well, a sense of humor, love of golf, and music trivia were just a few of the memorable and essential parts of Ken. When talking with him, it was evident that the pride and joy of his life were his wife, Lynn, his children, Danny and Lisa, their spouses, and his two grandchildren, Hudson and Andrew.  While battling health issues, Ken continued to fight and it was his desire to live life to the fullest along with his wife, children and grandchildren.  While each of us at Gema will miss him, we can enjoy our fond memories shared with him and be proud of Ken’s important contributions to our company and industry."

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held Saturday, July 9, at 1 p.m. at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, 2165 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296 with a reception immediately following at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org), 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.  For those wishing to send condolences or favorite memories/stories about Ken, they can be sent to: Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, c/o Pastor Jeff Halenza for Kenny Carroll Family, 2165 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296.
