More than 35 years ago, a community of powder coating professionals went in search of a new way to create awareness of new, environmentally friendly coating technology.

Among the first visionaries were Nordson leaders and current Powder Coating Institute Hall of Famers, Sam Dawson and Ken Kreeger. From its initial beginning in 1981, Nordson has remained an uninterrupted charter member of The Powder Coating Institute (PCI). Today, PCI consists of people from all areas of the powder coating industry who promote the circulation of ideas, formulate leverage in the marketplace, and support the entire powder coating community.

My involvement with PCI spans only a quarter of their history, yet has proven to be incredibly fulfilling in not only self-development but company success as well.

I am very fortunate to work for a company that sees the value a trade association like PCI brings to our industry and that our company culture encourages us to get involved.

I’ve been able to build stronger customer relationships and ultimately provide better service through the available connections I’ve gained through PCI.

The association offers a host of events throughout the year, including educational workshops, networking events, technical training and industry seminars. The PCI community offers unprecedented access to other powder coating professionals who will expand your knowledge and your network.

The year 2016 has begun, and there is much economic uncertainty ahead. One thing that’s unwavering will be the group of professionals working with you at PCI to advance powder as the choice for coating technology.

Expand your professional network and surround yourself with industry experts by joining PCI today.
