REGISTRATION OPEN – PCI’s Powder Coating Technical Conference and Tabletop Exhibition

Registration is now open for the Powder Coating Institute’s (PCI) 2016 POWDER COATING Technical Conference and Tabletop Exhibition from April 11-14 at the Georgia International Convention Center. The convention center is conveniently accessible via a SkyTrain just minutes from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. This must-attend event promises to deliver outstanding education, along with tabletop exhibits, networking events and a plant tour to round out a comprehensive program for the powder coating professional.
Here is a snapshot of the four-day educational event.
Monday-Tuesday, April 11 & 12
Powder Coating 101 Workshop
The Powder Coating 101 workshop kicks off the week with an introduction to powder coating that focuses on the basic knowledge of the powder coating process. This 1½ day course includes hands-on lab demos at the Georgia Power Customer Resource Center. Transportation will be provided to and from Georgia Power during the workshop. Discounts are available when you register for the Powder Coating 101 Workshop and the Powder Coating Technical Conference.
Wednesday – Thursday, April 13-14
Technical Conference Sessions
The POWDER COATING 2016 Technical Conference follows the Powder Coating 101 workshop with two days of general sessions each morning and a variety of concurrent technical sessions throughout the rest of the week.
There will be session on the following topics: Powder Coating Basics, Building a Better Job Shop, Pretreatment Trends, Controlling Production Costs, New Technology You Can Use, Architectural Allure, Troubleshooting Your Powder Coating Line, Optimizing Powder Operations, Powder Coating Aluminum Surfaces, Powder Coating Materials, Curing Versatility, and more.
Tabletop Exhibition
The two-day tabletop exhibition features companies who will showcase powder coating materials, powder coating application equipment, system houses, pretreatment chemical suppliers and the various services and supplies that support the powder coating industry. The tabletop exhibits will complement the technical presentations and be available to attendees between the conference sessions.
Networking Casino Night Reception
Wednesday afternoon/evening will include a casino night networking event that will offer plenty of time to visit tabletop exhibitors while enjoying casino games, food & drink. Casino Night admission is included in the Full and one-day conference registration fees.
Plant Tour
Benise-Dowling will host attendees for a plant at the Decatur, GA facility. At this high production facility you’ll see their fully automated conveyor system with two automatic powder booths, 5-stage pretreatment, color change and reclaim capabilities, quality management, lab for measurement color and mechanical testing, and custom packaging and masking. Transportation is included in the conference registration fees.
