CCAI’s FINISHING Pavilion and Conference at FABTECH 2015 Breaks Records Again

As CCAI’s FINISHING Pavilion and Conference at FABTECH came to a close in mid-November, it continues to break records set the previous year.  Filling more than 48,000 net square feet of space, there were hundreds of finishing products and services on the show floor that attracted more visitors than ever before.  And CCAI’s technical sessions increased in attendance by 45%, the largest audience yet.  Bottom line, the FINISHING Pavilion and Conference at FABTECH 2015 surpassed expectations again. 

With 199 exhibiting companies, CCAI’s FINISHING Pavilion showcased a diverse and all-encompassing array of equipment, services, materials, systems houses and more.  Everything a company needs to improve their finishing processes and operations could be found in CCAI’s FINISHING Pavilion. 

“Along with our growth on the show floor, our conference sessions continue to grow each year,” notes CCAI Executive Director, Anne Goyer.  “With nearly 200 attendees filling the FINISHING conference sessions this year, it was by far and away our largest conference attendance yet. We are very happy to see that more individuals are taking time to attend educational sessions as well as visit the show floor. We feel that the finishing industry now looks to FABTECH as the place to be for both a dynamic exhibition with everything they might be looking for and outstanding educational opportunities at the same time.” 

CCAI’s Board of Directors had a vision to partner with FABTECH back in 2010. The steady growth of the CCAI FINISHING Pavilion reinforces it was the right thing to do for the finishing industry. This year, there were over 10,000 FABTECH attendees who indicated they were there to evaluate finishing.  This statistic alone validates CCAI’s presence at FABTECH.  CCAI’s exhibitors were very pleased to see the amount of traffic and quality attendees on the show floor.  CCAI Platinum Corporate Member, Greg Dawson of Nordson Corp. reflects, “The FINISHING Pavilion has grown from being just a mere curiosity to the Welding/Stamping visitors to being a destination for people with funded powder coating projects.  That’s a major shift in demographics in 5 short years.”

While the event in Chicago was a great success by all indications, planning for FABTECH 2016 in Las Vegas is already underway.  The CCAI FINISHING Pavilion is nearly sold out with more than 88% of our exhibit space already reserved. “This is the first time our FINISHING Pavilion has filled so quickly,” notes CCAI Exhibit Manager Andy Goyer. “The success we’ve had in the past is driving the growth of the FINISHING Pavilion and like the other technologies in the show, FINISHING is now near capacity far earlier than ever before.
