PCI Awards 2018 Scholarships

Posted on Monday, June 4, 2018

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) recently awarded its 2018 scholarships to worthy students who are studying various subjects that can lead to a career in powder coating.  “The deserving recipients represent the future of our industry and PCI is pleased to support their goals,” states Trena Benson, PCI executive director.  The criteria for the awards include specific studies and projects relevant to powder coating technology, transcript/GPA, future goals, unique qualifications, and a letter of recommendation from their adviser.

PCI administers the Scholarship Program which promotes and solicits scholarship applications from students and educational institutions.  PCI received many qualified applicants and is excited to watch the research and development of the projects generated by these exceptional students.  The scholarship fund continues to grow and attract bright new talent to the powder coating industry, which includes students pursuing degrees in polymer science, manufacturing and engineering.  The growth of the scholarship program enhances the potential of young scholars in the industry and PCI is proud to be a part of it.  Trena Benson adds, “We are grateful to our corporate donors who have helped us increase the number of awards given.”

Congratulations to each of the following students who were awarded scholarships this year.
